Many relationship DNA tests can be completed without the mother’s DNA; however, we highly recommend including the mother’s DNA if possible. This not only helps to increase accuracy but decreases the possibility of an inconclusive result.

Our standard method to collect DNA is by test participants using cheek swabs (also called buccal swabs). Cheek swabbing is a quick and painless way to collect cheek cells containing DNA.
Non-Standard Samples can be used in Forensic relationship tests. -
We will not send a copy of your results via email. This PDF report can be downloaded from and shared to all involved. This report will be sent to the email address placed on file when the order is placed.
If eligible to receive results, you may also request a hard copy of the report for an additional fee.

Depending on your desired test, you may be able to receive results in as little as 2–3 business days after your sample is received by our labs.
For forensic tests this is a little longer, 5-7 business days. -
If you want to use your test results for legal purposes (child support, custody, etc.) you will need to use a Legal DNA test that follows a strict chain-of-custody process and supervised DNA collection.
Home test options are not eligible to be used for legal purposes.
